Kyla is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Drama at the University of Calgary and is the recipient of the Department of Drama Gold Medal Award and the University of Calgary Dean's List.
Leading and Supporting Roles in Theatre include Catherine in the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Proof", Juliet in the Governor General Award winning play "Goodnight Desdemona, Goodmorning Juliet", Polly Cohen in "If We are Women", and numerous Shakespearean characters (Cordelia, Titania, Rosalind)
Film and TV credits include FSM:Female Seeking Male, Anthrax, Catch and Release,
Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery, Motive, The Evidence, Stargate Atlantis, Davinci's City Hall, and 25 episodes as Sheila Bloom in CBC Award winning TV series Intelligence. Kyla is a member of ACTRA, UBCP, and CAEA.
Interests include Indie Film, Canadian Content, Jewish Studies, Gender Equality. Kyla is a member of YYOGA and is also a runner completing two marathons in 2016.
Kyla is mom to her 6 year old daughter Audrey Alvarez who is also an actor.

Yvette is committed to exhibiting new and established works that encourage opportunities for Canadian artists to share and hone their talents. As an award winning Director and Producer Yvette has facilitated over forty productions.
Formally trained at the University of Calgary (B.F.A. & B.Ed.), Yvette studied with Keith Johnstone , (Theatre Sports) and then spent a year travelling the world with the cast of Up with People. As a long form improviser Yvette currently portrays psych patients for Psych Nursing students and she also enjoyed performing for three years in Tony ‘n Tina ’s Wedding.
Her first passion is performing and selected acting credits include: The F Words, Ten Lost Years, Pioneer Years, Love and Dreaming, & Vagina Monologues. Selected TV & film credits: The Hollow Child, The FLASH, MOTIVE, Gracepoint, Once Upon a Time, FRINGE, Rat Race, and Edna Brown . Yvette writes to channel her creative fervour between acting gigs. Writing Credits: two short films ( Edna Brown, Laundry Day), twenty nine Historical Re-enactment scripts, and a full length play, Christmas Crackers. Her script, THE F WORDS won Honourable Mention in Theatre BC 's 2014 Playwriting Competition. This fierce, funny and fearless multi-character solo show garnered FOUR STAR reviews.
